Gender Equality Unit

University of Kerbala has established Gender Unit in 2015. The unit was affiliated to the Faculty of Law. The unit has been restructured and activated in 2021 to be affiliated to presidency of University of Kerbala, and nominating a head for the unit, as part of a strategic program with Dutch side and Dutch organization, Nuffic.
Gender Unit works on mainstreaming the concept of gender within the university in all aspects. This can be done by holding courses and workshops that help to promote gender equality. Gender Unit also aims at improving the balance between males and females in matters related to equal opportunities in employment, assignment, study, missions, fellowships, etc.
